The children’s section of the C. E. Weldon Public Library is located in the basement of the library.

The Children’s Library offers a fun and exciting environment for your child to learn and grow. We offer a Story Hour for three and four year olds from September through May. Registration is required for children to attend.

During the school year, we offer tours of the library to Martin Primary School students  to promote the Summer Reading Program.

The Summer Reading Program runs eight weeks, beginning the first week of June. Children who sign up for the reading program check out books and return them for prizes. Prizes consist of bags of toys or coupons to a business in the area. At the end of the program, medals and trophies are awarded for achieving certain point levels. Many special activities and programs are scheduled during the summer program.

We believe our Children’s Library is a place where your children will feel comfortable and can learn to enjoy books. We hope you will find our library enjoyable and will visit often.

Ellison Dies

We have several Ellison dies, many of which have been donated through the generosity of groups and individuals. They are located in the Children's Library Workroom. We are happy to make these available to the public. It is necessary for you to bring your own paper.
