The
adult library, located on the main floor, offers an extensive
collection of books, reference materials, video tapes, and audio
books, as well as a media center. The library has over 40,000
holdings, and additional materials can be obtained from
libraries all across Tennessee through Inter-library loan. Here
at our website you can find links to many references, community
organizations, and services. For patron convenience, a book drop
is located by the parking lot on the east side of the building.
Tennessee Room
The Tennessee Room, located on the 3rd
floor, contains books, magazines, genealogy files, microfilms,
2 computers, and a microfilm and
film scanner for state and genealogical research.
The Weakley
County Genealogical Society helps to maintain this
collection.
Large Print Books
We maintain a collection of large print
books for patrons who have difficulty reading regular print
or simply prefer large print.
Media Center
We offer 12 computers for public use. All
computers have high-speed internet access
and can print to monochrome or color laser printers. Patrons must read
and agree to an Internet Use Policy before using the computers.
Reading Clubs
“Let’s Talk About It” meets monthly to discuss books the members are
currently reading. "Teen Snack Attack" is
for students in grades 6-12, and meets once
per quarter.
Conference Room
The library has a large meeting room for
use by groups in the community. Contact the library for
policies regarding the use of the room.
Friends of the Library
This community organization helps promote
and raise funds for the library.
Other Services
Need an income tax form, a copy made,
something scanned, or faxed? We can help with all of these.
A small fee is charged for some of these services.
