Summer Reading Programs for All Ages:
June 7-July 31
Sit and Knit
Knitters of all levels are welcome.
The group meets the first Tuesday
of each month at 9:30 AM in the conference room. Beginners, learn to
cast on stitches, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, binding
off, and much more. Materials needed: I Taught Myself to
Knit pocket guide available at Wal-Mart, and 1 skein of
Caron Simply Soft yarn, medium or light color. Intermediate
and advanced knitters, bring your own projects. Learn and
share new techniques, short cuts, and whatever. Sign up is
not required.

Book Clubs

Between the Lions
Read Aloud book club for 2nd graders meets at 3:00 PM the second Monday of each
month from September to May. Children
eat a snack, take turns reading a book out loud, and
make a craft that relates to the story.
Page Turners
for 3rd graders meets at 3:00 PM on the first Monday of each
month from October to May. Children
receive a book the month before, return at book club,
have a snack, discuss
the book, make a craft or do an
activity that relates to the story.
Page Turners
for 4th and 5th graders meets at 3:00 PM on the first
Tuesday of each month from October to May.
Activities are the same as third grade club, but
with different books.
