Photography Exhibit

On display in the conference room is a small part of the photography collection of Gary Richardson. These photos cover almost 40 years with combinations of film, silver based photographic paper, digital capture, and ink jet printing. The earliest works were taken in Vietnam while the latest were shot within the last year on the family farm. While some of the photos look like paintings, they are not; they are photos that have been blended with computer magic and a paint brush.

Sit and Knit

Knitters of all levels are welcome.  The group will meet the first Tuesday of each month in the conference room. Beginners, learn to cast on stitches, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, binding off, and much more. Materials needed: I Taught Myself to Knit pocket guide available at Wal-Mart, and 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft yarn, medium or light color. Intermediate and advanced knitters, bring your own projects. Learn and share new techniques, short cuts, and whatever. Sign up is not required.

Book Discussion Groups

Let's Talk About It book discussion group will not meet during the summer. Meetings will resume September 29.

Children's book clubs have finished for the 2008-09 school year and will resume in the fall.
