Full Steam Ahead

Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead meets on Wednesdays at 10 am. Each week we will explore a different theme as we create, experiment, learn, and have fun! Because this is a hands-on program, parents are encouraged to attend.

Kindergarten Kick-Off

Kindergarten Kick-Off is an annual event to get children and their parents ready to start school. Parents get to hear about school policies, after-school programs, and other topics while the children get to spend some time playing in the Children's Library. In the second hour, the parents get to ask questions and get to know some of the school representatives. Children and parents will also have the opportunity to ride on the school bus together.

Weakley County Reading Railroad

The Weakley County Reading Railroad is a cooperative effort by the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation, and the county. The goal is for all preschoolers in the state to have their own Imagination Library. A book is mailed to each child who participates every month until their fifth birthday, absolutely free. To participate the child must reside in Weakley County. Registration forms can be picked up at the  C. E. Weldon Public Library and all other public libraries in Weakley County or you may register online here.

Game On

Game On is a gaming session for children of all ages. Middle School and High School will meet in the conference room. Elementary school aged children will have their own session at the same time in the Children's Library. It takes place Friday afternoon from 3-5pm. We will be playing Minecraft, Rocket League, Knight Squad, and many other video games and board games. If you have other games that you would like to play feel free to bring them as well.
